“A celebration of childhood”

Howell’s School Nursery provides a warm and welcoming introduction to our Howell’s family where the girls take their vital first step on our “learning ladder”. From the start, our core values are firmly embedded in the learning experiences to enable every girl to achieve her full potential in all aspects of her development.

Our nursery-learning programme is based on The Foundation Stage Curriculum and this is enriched by a wealth of carefully planned, purposeful activities to stimulate and engage the girls in their learning. Our aim is to foster the girls’ curiosity about the world around them. Creative challenges and opportunities ensure that girls are actively engaged in their learning from the outset.

From the moment girls enter our bright, cheerful nursery, they sense that school is a good place to be where exciting things happen. Our specifically designed, self-contained nursery unit, which caters for a maximum of twenty girls per class has two large attractive learning areas. The securely enclosed garden and outdoor play area and the easy access to both Junior and Senior Schools ensure that the girls are able to take full advantage of our outstanding facilities. Each class is taught by a well qualified teacher and teaching assistant.
