Many congratulations to Claudia M and Ruby R who travelled to Northampton High School on Friday 27th January, for the semi final of this prestigious Year 11 public speaking competition, the Chrystall Prize.
"Last Friday, Dr Knowles, Claudia and I took the long train journey up to Northampton for Claudia to compete in a GDST public speaking competition. She spoke about feminism in a patriarchal society, passionately arguing for gender equality and using a range of rhetorical tactics. She sadly didn’t win, just losing out to a student from Northampton High School, but everyone who participated spoke really well and the whole day was a fascinating experience."
