Four Howell's teams competed in the Cardiff Schools Debating Competition held in the Students' Union on Saturday, March 4th. Izzy H and Dani K of Year 9 competed in three rounds of debating, holding their own against Sixth Form teams. Gopikaa A, Ishrat C, Hema N and Rosie T of Year 12 all had a very good day, Gopikaa achieving 9th and Ishrat 4th speaker places in their competition.
Our most experienced debaters did particularly well: Nia M-R and Udita D broke to the Final, Udita being placed 5th highest speaker overall in the experienced category, and Nia being placed top speaker for the whole competition. Well done, girls!
