Eco School – Litter conference

On Friday 17th March, four students from the Howell's Eco Team, accompanied by Dr Langford and organised by Mrs Jowett, joined several schools across Cardiff at an Eco Conference in the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.  The day, hosted by Keep Wales Tidy, consisted of a series of active discussions about the issues and effects of litter in our world; in particular, the problems created by plastic within our environment. Alongside informative talks and discussions there were hands-on interactive activities in the form of litter-picking games, votes and feedback from fellow students from other schools. The girls all got to participate in an interactive session about how we should change things on a local level and brought back interesting ideas from the day about possible events that could be hosted at Howell's in the future.  An overall enjoyable and productive experience!
