English Speaking Union Churchill Public Speaking Competition

Sonali S, Ellie M and Sanaa M, all of Year 11, were runners up in the Cardiff heat of the English Speaking Union Churchill Public Speaking competition held in the Margaret Lewis Memorial Library on Monday this week. Sonali spoke on ‘Is British politics broken?’, standing up to rigorous questioning from the team from St John’s College. Ellie chaired the contribution from Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Edern, while Sanaa’s grilling of their speaker earned her the prize for Best Questioner on the afternoon. Well done, girls!
