Howell’s Girls Play To Win

Our under 14 hockey players shot to victory in the Hockey Wales Under 14 School Girls Final on Monday 13th March. One by one, under bright spring skies, the Howell's girls knocked out teams from all over Wales in several fiercely fought matches at Wrexham Glyndwr University, beating Ruthin school Ysgol Brynhyfryd 6-0 in the semi-final.
In the final match, they met a team from Ysgol Bro Dinefwr, a Welsh medium school in Llandeilo. Both sides put up a tremendous opposition, but when the final whistle blew, the girls from Howell's had won the final 4-2, taking home a medal each for their trouble, as well as a magnificent trophy to bring back to school. Well done, girls!
