Thursday 11th May saw the Junior School Instrumental Evening. Performing to a capacity audience in the Junior Hall, almost 90 girls took part in what is one of the instrumental pinnacles of the Junior School year! The girls played a wide range of instruments, either as soloists, or as part of an ensemble and delighted their audience. All of the instrumental ensembles took part, including String Machine, Shake, Rattle & Roll, four Rock Groups, both Flute Choirs, Guitar Stars, Polished Brass and the Junior School Orchestra. There were super performances too from our Year 3 violinists and Year 4 cornet players after their term of class lessons. The high standard of musicianship and the enjoyment of the girls was evident throughout the evening. The concert closed with an interesting arrangement of Pachelbel’s Canon, led by the school orchestra and involving every person present! Thank you to all the parents and friends who attended, to the girls who performed so superbly and to the staff who helped make the evening such a success.
