Nursery News

We have had a lot of fun this week celebrating St David’s Day. We were delighted to see the daffodils we planted come out just in time for the celebration. On Wednesday we came to school dressed in traditional Welsh costume and our teachers were very proud of us as we took to the stage to sing our Welsh songs for our Eisteddfod. We made Welsh cakes and decorated love spoons.
On Thursday 2nd March,  it was World Book Day and we brought in our favourite stories to share as well as taking part in the ‘Big Book Swap’.
It has been a feat of engineering putting all the amazing castles together.  From cuboids, to cylinders, to cubes and pyramids we have been using all the language we have learnt related to 3 dimensional shapes to help us describe our castles.  We have also been developing our presentation skills, learning how to speak with a clear voice and took look at our audience when talking, but also to prepare and think about what we are going to say before we present.
A great big ‘ WOW’  to all our Nursery girls for a very busy, buzzy week.
