Our U15s took on the mighty Christ College in a tough match. They girls played a very strong second half pulling the score back from being 1- nil down to winning 2-1. Cross Country 2nd Prelim
The second round was held at unfamiliar grounds, at Pontcanna Fields. The Year 8 and 9 race was first that hosted our top athlete Fiona, who managed to move up one place to 3rd overall. Katie and Freya also ran well setting a sterling example to the younger girls. Year 7 were in a far larger group and many of them found it difficult to find a good spot on the starting line. Despite this Lauren W finished in 48th and Anna H in 54th. Lydia, Esther, Alexandra, Sophie, Ellie and Meghan enjoyed the race and finished well, displaying a strong Howell’s team ethic. Well done to all girls.
