On Friday 29th September, the Senior School staff team and two College teams played in the annual mini-tournament. All monies collected from entrance tickets and the sweet sale are to be donated to Alalay, a charity that we have been involved with for a number of years which seeks to take orphans off the streets of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, offering them a home and the chance to gain an education. This event was organised by our College Rotary Interact Committee and was run to coincide with our annual Languages Week Celebrations. Year 12 students played against Year 13 and competition was fierce, but it was the Year 13 students who were awarded the shield this year by Mrs Shorney, following their 3-2 victory. In the staff and students shoot off, the staff proved to be the stronger team, shooting five goals while the College students scored one!
Congratulations to the Year 13 winning team and a big thank you to everyone who was involved.
