On Friday 18th June, Year 8 became shoe designers for the day, taking inspiration from a wide range of areas including nature, human rights, Japan, under the sea, food and superheroes. The girls worked in teams with enthusiasm and verve to research ideas, develop a mood board and to ultimately design and create their shoe concept. The results were incredible and the judges had an almost impossible task when deciding on a winner. Based on the extensive research about human rights abuses, the winning team was the ‘Cage Shoe’.
