Congratulations to Ikuni E and Morwenna B in Year 10 who competed in the National Urdd Eisteddfod held in Bridgend last week. They both competed in the individual recitation for Welsh learners' category for students in Years 10 to 13. The set poem this year was Ar y Ffordd by Iwan Llwyd, a poem about young people using phones and after the morning prelim, Ikuni and Morwenna were selected to compete in the televised staged final. This is the first time that Howell's has had two finalists on the stage. They both gave lively and intelligent performances and it was an incredibly difficult task to place the three finalists on the day.
