Disney the golden retriever puppy arrived at Howell's at the beginning of the holidays. During the summer, Disney had the run of the school, and got to know the lay of the land without any students around, but since the start of term she has been very keen to introduce herself to as many people as possible. She has spent the last few days padding between Mrs Davis's room and the Main Office, keeping a keen eye on the comings and goings during the first full week of the new school year. At times, this has proved to be tiring work, and she has extended herself across Mrs Davis's corridor for a restorative snooze.
This week Disney got up close and personal with Year 8 in their year group assembly, and paid very close attention to the snacks available at Monday's celebration tea. Alas, all the students —and Mr Walters—proved to have excellent table manners, so there was very little tiding up for Disney to help with afterwards.
Disney and Mrs Davis are very much enjoying their daily walks at 2pm with students, and anyone who would like to add their names to the list to join them on their lunchtime walkies should email Mrs Davis directly on sally.davis@how.gdst.net
