Year 1 visit the Post Office

Year 1 have been learning about the journey of a letter.  The girls wrote letters to their families at home and then visited Llandaff Post Office to post them.  After a lovely autumny walk to the high street, the girls went into the post office in groups where they asked the Postmistress for a first class stamp before giving her the correct coins making 65p.

All the girls have posted their letters and are looking forward to them arriving through their letterboxes at home. We were so proud of the girls for asking for the stamps themselves and demonstrating their polite manners.

Many thanks to the parents who accompanied Year 1 on the visit.
