Years 10 and 11 attend workshop with GDST Skills Development Leader

On Thursday 9th March, Year 10 and 11 students attended a session with Karen Kimura, Skills Development Leader at the GDST. Year 10 were given valuable advice on preparing a CV, which will help with the forthcoming Employers' Day in July. Meanwhile Year 11 learnt that first impressions (how you introduce yourself, your dress and your body language) are important and are created within seven seconds. They also thought about what they want to gain from their work experience as well as what the employer expects from them. The main message of the session was to make the most of and to be proactive during work experience. Year 11 were left with a lot to think about.
