Girls take part in Wales final of English-Speaking Union

Well done to Catrin B., Elin S. and Mansi V., who competed in the Wales final of the English-Speaking Union Churchill Public Speaking Competition at Ty Hywel on Monday 14th March. Mansi spoke persuasively on the motion that ‘The Oxbridge selection process lacks social inclusion’ and stood up to rigorous cross examination from the team of St John Baptist High School, Aberdare. Catrin and Elin ably performed chairing and questioning respectively a speech from Barry Comprehensive on the motion ‘The war on drugs has already been lost’, with Elin being awarded Best Questioner for her contribution.
