Royal Mail Young Letter Writer Competition

Lauren W. (Year 5) entered the Royal Mail Young Letter Writer Competition earlier this year, along with 100,000 other children from all across the UK. Entrants were asked to write a letter of application for their dream job and Lauren wrote applying to be an RAF Fighter Pilot!
We were thrilled when we heard that Lauren had reached the Welsh area final in February, and then this was quickly followed by the announcement that she was the overall Welsh finalist in her age category. Lauren was put then forward for the national finals which were judged by a panel of literary experts.

As recognition for her success, she received a cheque for £200 for herself, and the same for the school, along with a certificate of achievement. We are thrilled for Lauren and wish her many congratulations!
