Lunch and Learn – Magic Mavericks

The Business and Economics department were fortunate to welcome Hywelian, Helen White, back to the school to lead April’s ‘Lunch and Learn’ session on Thursday 14th April. Helen, along with  her business partner Molly, run ‘Magic Maverick’, a theatre company which puts on shows and workshops aimed at educating children and young people on gender differences. The talk was fast paced, engaging and thought provoking. The students particularly enjoyed hearing how, despite being a charity, the company still had to operate in much the same way as a profit making organisation, sticking to the core values of vision, strategy, organisation, HR management and branding. Once again we are pleased to report that a ‘Lunch and Learn’ talk has been successful at enriching our students beyond the curriculum.
