Students vote "remain" in mock EU Referendum

In preparation for Thursday’s EU referendum Howell’s ran its own mock referendum on Monday 20th and Tuesday 22nd June. Students were able to vote whether the UK should leave or remain in the European Union through an official process using a ballot box. Out of 418 registered students, a total of 238 votes were cast. A landslide result was announced that "Howell’s School Llandaff staff and students would like to remain within the EU", with 77 % voting remain and 23% voting leave. The Head of History, Mrs George, said:  “A resounding victory for the remain team. Well done to all the girls who campaigned and made sure the whole school knew the key issues in this important referendum”. Students and staff are now excited to see the result of the official referendum held on Thursday 23rd June.
