Last Friday, Year 8 girls were wedding dress designers for the day. Before the activities began, we were privileged to welcome alumna Keira Holmes from One1 Bridal who gave an inspirational and engaging talk about her business and some top tips for success. The girls fully embraced the challenge of creating the most beautiful and original wedding dress – from newspaper! The day culminated in the Howell’s Year 8 catwalk where distinguished judges had a very difficult task. There could only be one winner, and this was team ‘Fairy tales do come true’, whose intricate dress was modelled by Olivia D. Keira will be displaying the dress in prime position in her shop window in Cathays so please do pop along and see it.
