Year 9 rise to App Design Challenge

On Friday 1st July, Year 9 undertook the App Design Challenge. This year’s theme was ‘Careers and the World of Work’ and the girls were tasked with creating a new and innovative app that would help young people access and investigate career choices. As always, their ideas and delivery were impressive. They ranged from interactive blogs to personalised career passports to ‘speed dating’ work experience matching. The scope of the apps and their intended capabilities was immense. The winning idea encompassed many similar features to others, but focused on the local area, and the judges felt that this gave the app an added dimension that could really benefit users. Congratulations to the winning team ‘Jocal’, and well done to all of Year 9 for their enthusiasm and creativity.
