Year 1 had a wonderful afternoon on Tuesday 5th July when they performed their 'African Extravaganza' to their families in the Great Hall. This performance was the culmination of their Summer Term topic on 'Africa'. It was a thoroughly entertaining afternoon of singing, chanting, story telling, dancing and drumming, whilst also exhibiting their stunning African masks and wearing their African designed t-shirts and necklaces.
The girls performed with great confidence and to a high standard with precise drumming and many wonderful solo singing items for call and response. Well done, Year 1!
