Excitement at Ely Fire Station

Year 2 visited Blue Watch at Ely Fire Station on the morning of Monday 12th September as part of their stunning start to their topic on 'Fire and Ice'.

The girls were greeted by the alarms sounding and a message coming through the printer to welcome them to the station. Fortunately Blue Watch were not called out on an emergency this time, but if they were, Yume was keen to stay at the station and be in charge in their absence!

During the trip, the girls were shown all around the fire engine, inside and out, and they all got to work the fire hose and spray some of the cars and vans in the drill yard.

Elizabeth decided that she no longer wishes to be a hedge fund manager when she grows up but a fire fighter, she aims to be the Boss and wear the white helmet!
