Anna receives a Rotary Young Leader Award

On Wednesday, September 24th, Rotary Interact Presidents Issy and Anna were joined by Year 12 Interactors Kelly and Leo and Mrs Richards at the Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast meeting at Whitchurch Golf Club. In addition to meeting the Rotarians (and having a very good breakfast!), the Interactors outlined their plans to raise money for their chosen charities this term. First on the list was the staff versus students netball match on Friday, 26th September, which will raise money for Alalay, a charity for Bolivian street children.

A particular highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a Rotary Young Leader Award to Anna, following her participation in a week's outdoor activities at Dolygaer this summer with students drawn from all over South Wales. Anna described how she had been challenged in learning new skills and in teaching them to others and thanked the Rotarians for their sponsorship for what proved to be a highly enjoyable week.
