On 22nd June, Linda Smith (née Barry) and her young daugher Megan visited school. Linda was at school from 1979 to 1983, when she and the rest of her family emigrated to the USA, and she has lived there ever since. She has fond memories of her days at Howell's, particularly playing in various sports teams, and had very clear memories of the building and of the staff who taught her. This was her first visit since she left for the USA, where she is now a Speech Therapist in Texas. Mrs Sully greatly enjoyed showing her and Megan around, reminiscing and discussing the changes, and Linda was able to provide news about several of her contemporaries.
