An icy finish for Year 2!

On Friday 9th December the Year 2 girls were treated to a wonderful production of the Nutcracker on Ice at the Ice Arena Wales. The girls thoroughly enjoyed seeing the performance and showed their support and appreciation throughout by constantly clapping the performers.

This Wednesday the girls became sculptors for the afternoon as they worked with The Ice Academy to create fantastic penguin ice sculptures.  The girls worked creatively in groups to add personality and features to the frozen penguins using tools, following a range of sculpting techniques.  The finished penguins looked amazing, sitting proudly in Ty Hapus playground!

Both activities formed our fabulous finish for the terms topic, 'Fire and Ice'. What a busy term!
