Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King’s College, Cambridge

We were delighted to hear that Gaynor Howard, previously Director of Music at Howell’s, will hear her setting of “Adam Lay Ybounden” performed at the prestigious Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols from King’s College, Cambridge. Gaynor taught at Howell's from 1971 to 1989, and arranged the setting of the piece for the annual carol service in Llandaff Cathedral in 1976. The world famous service will be broadcast live on Radio 4 at 3pm on Christmas Eve, and a recording will be shown in the evening on BBC2 at 5.45pm. It will also be repeated on Christmas Day, and broadcast on the BBC World Service.
