Eight College students took part in the Cambridge Debating Competition regional round on Wednesday, January 25th. Rosie T, Gopikaa A, Imogen C, Chloe D-J, Teeda E A, Ishrat C, Mansi V and Emme T took part in two rounds of British Parliamentary debating on motions advocating that copyright should expire on the death of the creator, and that it is legitimate in war to target cultural and religious sites. All the speakers presented coherent arguments on these difficult and controversial topics, Chloe and Ishrat only narrowly missing out on progressing to Finals Day. Well done, girls, and good luck to those taking part in the Oxford Competition next week.
