Netball Success for Year 5 and 6

Year 5 and 6 played their first netball matches of the season on Wednesday 25th January against The Cathedral School. Following four months of great netball practices with Mrs Price and Mrs Peter, the Year 6 girls hit the ground running with two emphatic victories. Team 1 played at a very high intensity throughout their fixture, getting the ball into the attacking circle very effectively whilst also keeping their opponents out with some timely interceptions. Despite an even first quarter, HSL found their rhythm and eventually ran out 18-6 victors. Team 2, led by Ella R, had a very successful encounter, highlighted by a 13-0 victory! The girls were very impressive in all phases of the game and have showed considerable improvement over the course of the year. Year 5 matched the success of Year 6 with an equally impressive 8-1 win. Mrs Price was very pleased with the play from Year 5 in their very first 7-a-side match! Well done to all girls involved in these netball matches, we look forward to many more this term!
