Rotary Youth Speaks

Students from Years 8 and 9 put on a fabulous performance at the Rotary 'Youth Speaks' Public Speaking Competition at Llanishen High School on Tuesday, 17th January 2017.

Team 1
Jennifer E was Chairperson, Tabby H was our Speaker and Auvni P was Vote of Thanks.
Tabby's speech entertained us all, and she spoke with real panache and energy. Her topic was 'Is older better?' which was not only interesting but uplifting and positive. Tabby used humour and language most effectively. Over all, Jennifer won the prize for Best Chairperson and Auvni won best Vote of Thanks.
Team 2
We had Charlotte H as Chairperson, Rookmini M as our Speaker and Danielle K was Vote of Thanks.
Rookmini spoke with real confidence and enthusiasm and her topic was entitled 'Retribution or Rehabilitation? Which is best for our society?' Rookmini's speech was interesting,  informative and thoroughly prepared and she delivered it in her usual graceful way.
This team was awarded the Runners Up prize.

Thank you to all the girls and teachers who worked so hard. We are proud of you!
