On Thursday 1st May Howell’s hosted its first Black Tie Sport Awards Dinner in the Great Hall which was an evening for students, staff and invited guests to celebrate the magnificent sporting achievements of Senior School and College students. Guests were treated to a drinks reception and a delicious three course meal. Tom Connors, a legend of street basketball, gave a demonstration of his incredible skills and we were delighted that Cardiff City and Wales footballer, Craig Bellamy, presented students with the awards. Students were inspired by our terrific speakers Laura McAllister, Chair of Sport Wales, and Kelly Davies, former Arsenal and Liverpool Ladies footballer. Many congratulations to all the students and thanks to everyone involved who made the evening so special.
