Caitlan W. & Liv W. of Year 8 rowed as part of a quad (4) in the Stratford upon Avon Regatta on Saturday 21st June as members of Llandaff Rowing Club. It was an early start - at the river in Stratford for 6.45am and their first race was at 8.15.This was their first ever regatta - they have been rowing since the start of the Autumn Term. They won their heat "easily" - a rowing term for "by miles" - against the home team, Stratford upon Avon Rowing Club! Then went into the semis against a team from Hollowell, which they also won by three lengths, and then made it into the final which they won by two lengths against a team from Royal Grammar School Worcester. It was the 140th year of the Regatta in Stratford and they were presented with commemorative tankards for their win! Congratulations, girls!
