Year 6 visit rainforest in Swansea!

Year 6 have enjoyed a fantastic day at the indoor rainforest Plantasia in Swansea. A favourite part was exploring the hut, where they played tribal music with drums. The cutest part was definitely meeting the Cotton-top Monkeys, who were adorable. The girls roamed around the hot house discovering plants such as a banana plant, cacti and a pineapple plant! They also took part in an art workshop and created a group collage using watercolours, chalks and wax pastels. They had to think about layering to capture the dense effect of the rainforest and were really proud of their finished work.

Year 6 would like to thank their teachers for organising the trip and Professor Gray, Mrs Meldrum, Mrs Simmonds and Mrs El-Rashidy for accompanying them.
