News of Old Girls, November 2012

Sarah Charles, who was at school from 1982-9, has  been  Marketing Director of Sainsbury's since January 2012, having previously been Marketing Director at Heineken UK.Sarah read Engineering at Oxford after leaving school, gaining an MEng. degree, but decided that she wanted a career in marketing. We congratulate her on her success.
 
The four Brinson sisters - Katherine, Helen, Jane and Claire - have all chosen very different careers. After gaining First Class Honours in English at Oxford, Katherine went on to study for a Master's Degree in Art History in New York. She married an American and is currently a curator at the Guggeneim Museum. Helen has gained two Masters degrees and, having finished her PhD in neuropsychology, she has begun a research project at the Institute of Psychiatry. Jane read English at Bristol and now, after teaching and working at Jamie's Farm, which gives underprivileged and problem children an valuable opportunity to spend time on a farm, learning new skills and developing some self-esteem, she is undertaking a further teaching qualification in this field. Claire studied Land Management at Reading University and is now a Senior Chartered Surveyor in London.
