On Monday 9th December, we went to Pineapple Studios in London, we were invited by the GDST to represent Howell’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our first workshops as they were a great introduction to the Pineapple Studios atmosphere. At our second workshop we worked with specialist choreographers to produce a dance piece within our chosen style. During our lunch break, we watched a educational video on the establishment of the Pineapple brand. Each choreographer also had a video dedicated to their past work, this was followed by an opportunity to ask the choreographers questions regarding their work. After lunch each school performed a piece which they had created at school, this allowed many members of the GDST community to show their talents. Eleanor J and Georgia K performed an exceptional contemporary dance which they choreographed themselves. Overall we had an amazing day at the Pineapple Dance Studios, where we have learnt and grown together. We are all very thankful for the opportunity.
