On Thursday 5th March, Auvni P, Fiona W and Rhianne H from Year 11 competed in the ESU Public Speaking Competition Welsh Final at Ty Hywel, the former debating chamber of the WAG. Auvni spoke well exploring the topic ‘Only the young have an explanation for everything’ (Isabelle Allende), and handled the questions admirably. Fiona and Rhianne chaired for and questioned (or grilled?) the speaker from Ysgol Gyfun Bro Morgannwg whose speech on ‘Too little is spent on mental health’ was most enlightening.
