University of South Wales KS3 Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses 2019

Congratulations to Carys D, Mehek D, Eleanor H, Elan J, Aleezah K, Ruby S and Annie S in Year 9 who were presented with a certificate at an Awards Ceremony on 16th March for their participation in the Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses at the University of South Wales during the Spring Term. The programme of classes included Mathematical Puzzles, The Unexpected Mathematics of Juggling, How Pythagoras Saves the Whales and Medicinal Mathematics.
Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses are designed to encourage, inspire and engage students in the art and practice of mathematics. The highly interactive sessions introduce students to aspects or applications of maths which may not usually be covered in the school curriculum, and open young people’s eyes to the excitement, beauty and real-world value of mathematics.
