World of Work Day for Year 7

On Thursday 16th May, Year 7 explored various career options during their World of Work Day.  They took part in a wide variety of activities throughout the day including browsing the Careers Wales website; producing posters to share their future aspirations and working in teams to construct a bridge strong enough to support the weight of a heavy pencil case using just ten sheets of paper and some sellotape. The judges, our very own Mrs Jowett and GDST Education Initiatives Officer Isabel Rughani, had the unenviable task of picking the winning team.  All teams were excellent but the winners were the Parachuting Hedgehogs with their bridge called The Pillars.  Congratulations and many thanks to all involved.
