Year 5 Residential Visit to Llansteffan

15th-17th May 2019
Llansteffan is a village that allowed us to have fun for every minute of our visit! The amazing activities that we took part in included cookery (World War II recipes like jam tarts, mock fishcakes and carrot cakes), bushcraft (learning how to live from the land, for example by cooking a sewin (trout) in clay, making bush fires using flint and rock-pooling at the beach, where we saw giant jellyfish and caught crabs. We also visited the local castle to complete orienteering activities. Thursday was a special day as we dressed as evacuees who had left their parents in the city. We took part in a simulated air raid and even had a VE Day party! All in all, it was an action-packed few days that will give us memories to last a lifetime!
