On 12th November, Year 11 had the chance to go to London for the day, taking part in the 'Seeing Jewish Life' experience. They first went to a synagogue, where they learnt about the functions of the synagogue and why it holds such importance to Jews. They also listened to the story of a Holocaust survivor, which was very inspiring. After this, they went to Hendon, a typical Jewish area. After eating fish and chips in a kosher restaurant, they went to some shops to see different products that were being sold, such as challah loaves. At the end of the day, they visited a cemetery where they were taught about the funeral ceremony. Sasha N., Year 11, wrote: "The day was very enjoyable and I learnt a lot from such a brilliant day."
