On Wednesday, 25th November, two teams from Howell’s hosted and took part in the Senior Schools’ Quiz Challenge competition for Years 9 to 13. They were a credit to their teachers, demonstrating that they could remember lines from famous poems such as ‘The Raven’ by Edgar Allan Poe and, probably less surprisingly, the houses of several Harry Potter characters! Although they did not progress to the final this year, the afternoon was a very enjoyable one; the main highlight was Sanaa’s correct interruption of ‘George!’ to the first few words of a question on ‘The Famous Five’. Well done to Isobel, Grace, Megan, Caitlin, Sanaa, Sonali, Morwenna and Ellie!
