Year 7 have completed the first class heats of the Year 7 Spelling Bee; they competed in French, Spanish and Welsh in lessons and in German through German club. A maximum of ten students per language are able to go to the second class round in February. The competition is designed to be both fun and demanding! Each competitor had to compete against the clock to translate and spell as many words as possible from a 50-word list in one minute. All the girls participating had worked very hard to learn their vocabulary, most competing in three languages. The competition was fierce, and the results were close.
