On Friday 22nd January 2016 it was a pleasure to welcome more than 70 Hywelians of all ages to London’s Lansdowne Club, particularly many of our most recent leavers who are currently at university. Set in the heart of Mayfair, the Lansdowne Club, with its fusion of 18th Century grandeur and elegant Art Deco, is one of the most exclusive and traditional private clubs in London, so it really was a treat to hold an event in such spectacular surroundings. The evening included glasses of bubbly and bowls of delicious food. Guests were also treated to a magnificent performance from Robert Lindsay’s (Howell’s Class of 2014 and Head Boy 2013-14) acapella singing group, All the King’s Men, who are currently studying at King’s College London. We were delighted that Helen Fraser (CEO of the GDST) and Glen Fendley (Head of Development at the GDST) were able to join us for the evening. This event will certainly become an annual event at Howell’s.
