Year 1's trip to St. Fagans

On Tuesday 2nd February Year 1 enjoyed a morning trip to St. Fagans as part of their history work. The girls enjoyed looking at Rhyd-y-car terrace and discussing the changes that took place in each house between 1805 and 1985. The girls discovered the outside toilet with the 1895 house and decided that they didn't like the idea of newspaper rather than soft toilet tissue! Malak made an observation that "The houses got more comfy" as they became more modern. The girls also visited the blacksmith, Gwalia Stores and the school, and we discussed how life has changed over the years.

Thank you to the mothers who accompanied the trip.
