On Wednesday 13th April a number of Year 12 and 13 students attended a lecture on 'Contextualising Islam in 21st Century Britain'. It was held at the Temple of Peace in Cardiff and the lecture was delivered by the highly esteemed Professor Grace Davie. The event was organised in partnership with Cardiff Centre of Law and Religion, Cardiff University, the Cardiff and District branch of the United Nations association and the Welsh Centre for International Affairs (WICA). Students were able to digest some of the real issues facing minority groups and in particular Muslims within Britain today, and in particular with regard to forming social and legal policies.
