Throughout the day on Thursday, 16th June, Year 8 Howell’s Award recipients and staff were on tenterhooks to see if they would be able to erect their tents on the field for the night for the sleepover. Luckily, after a particularly drastic downpour, the weather dried up and we were able to sleep outside as planned.
We had a busy evening: the first activity was a quiz in House groups, interspersed with some games outside to decide the winners of the House competition for 2016. Lewis and Baldwin rose to the challenge, coming joint first, while Kendall were third and Trotter fourth: House points will be added to the yearly total before the end of this term. We ended with a relaxing movie and pizza night before bed.
We were very pleased with the way in which the girls took to the activities with their usual House enthusiasm and worked together to put up their tents. Well done, Year 8, and thank you to the staff who helped and donated tents for the occasion!
