On Wednesday, our College Interactors were invited to attend the Rotary Club of Cardiff breakfast at Whitchurch Golf Club. This was a busy meeting with student representatives from Whitchurch High School, Cathedral School and Cardiff University present. Lara W. (Y13) gave a presentation on her multi activity and leadership week at Storey Arms this summer, generously sponsored by Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast. She talked about the skills she had developed during the course, as well as the opportunity to meet new people whilst undertaking physically and mentally challenging activities. Caitlin D. and Jess C. (Y13) were presented with a ‘Citation’ certificate by the Rotary Club in acknowledgement of all the hard work that they do to support fundraising. They also gave a presentation outlining the fundraising they have undertaken since chairing Rotary Interact and their plans for the future. The charities being supported this year are ‘Pay for a day’ (supporting our local Marie-Curie Hospice), Bobath, Alalay, MacMillan and Chernobyl Children Cancer Care Cardiff. Events kick off this week with a Mixer Party for Years 12 and 13, a coffee morning on Monday and a Staff & College netball match on Friday.
