On Tuesday, Year 1 went on a trip to Mountain View Ranch. The sun was shining (almost) as we followed the amazing Gruffalo trail, meeting lots of animals on the way. After our exciting (and noisy!) walk we stumbled across a campfire where we decided to take a break and roast/cremate marshmallows. Having gained some newfound energy, we had a class den building competition. Two teams of girls worked hard to lift and move branches using the motto 'If it's bigger than you, it takes two!' The final dens were very impressive and the winning team announced!
After a tasty indoor picnic we ventured out into the adventure park and spent an hour zipping down zip wires, manoeuvring not too high ropes, swinging on giant swings and digging in the sand! Needless to say the bus trip home was very quiet ... well except for a few Y1 pop stars!!!
