Howell’s School junior chess team has retained the Welsh Schools' Team Championship title. The championships were held at Bishop Hedley High School, Penydarren, Merthyr Tydfil, on Saturday 13th June. Its quartet of players won every match in the six round competition, and we look well-placed to hold on to the trophy next year, as only one player in the team, Emily W., is in Year 6. Sharing the runner’s up spot were St John’s Cardiff, and The Dell, Chepstow. Many congratulations to Emily, Venetia, Susanna and Nayana!
