Nursery news, 19th June - Caterpillar News Flash!

It has been an exciting week for the girls watching their caterpillars, who have now been named as Lucy, Bronte, Lily, Rosie and Lenky .  When the girls arrived in school on Monday the caterpillars were enormous and the girls couldn’t quite believe how big they had grown over the weekend.  During the week they made their way to the top of the pot and began to attach themselves, making the shape of a ‘j’.  Gradually they shed their exoskeletons and have begun  to harden, turning into chrysalises.  Dangling precariously like stalactites from the top of the pot they almost look quite magical as they seem glisten as the sun catches on the shiny tips of the thick outer chrysalis shells giving a tiny hint of the magic happening inside.
The girls are so excited to see what will happen next.

On Monday 29th June the Nursery girls will be taking part in a walk for the charity LATCH.  It is a charity which has been close to their hearts over the last year.  We have seen first hand the enormous support it offers families who are going through the most difficult time.  The girls have already come together to raise £400 on the cake stall for LATCH and now the youngest in our community will each be taking a small step for LATCH. On Monday 29th they will walk together in memory of Duilio.
